Scholarship Application

Hampton Roads Pride is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies in our community. We are pleased to announce that applications for our scholarships are now open to high school students and those attending or accepted into accredited post-secondary educational institutions in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ+)
  • LGBTQ+ allies are also encouraged to apply (those who do not identify as LGBTQ+, but who are allied with and support the LGBTQ+ community).
  • Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above.

Geographical Eligibility: Applicants must reside in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following areas:

  • Accomack
  • Chesapeake
  • Hampton
  • Isle of Wight
  • James
  • Newport News
  • Norfolk
  • Northampton
  • Poquoson
  • Portsmouth
  • Suffolk
  • Virginia Beach
  • Williamsburg
  • York

Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by May 1, 2024.
